With a long tradition in the production of liquors, the best known of which is the Great Licor Aromes de Montserrat, in the Abbey of Montserrat they began to make ratafía in the forties of the last century in their farmhouse in Can Castells in Esparreguera. Since 2011, production has been done at the Anís del Mono factory in Badalona. Following the same original formula based on the botanical richness of the monastery environment, the Ratafia de Montserrat incorporates distillates from aromatic plants in the maceration of green walnuts.
